SST Performance Labs specialized high school Long-Term Athletic Development (LTAD) program is tailored for students aged 13 to 18. It provides a comprehensive approach to enhancing athletic development aimed at fostering higher-level engagement. Our athletes have demonstrated a dedicated commitment to their goals by this stage. Throughout this phase of our program, we transition from initial specialization to final specialization, with a focus on career planning as student-athletes advance in their competitive journey.
The primary emphasis of this stage is on implementing a multiyear plan to enhance sport-specific power, speed, skill, and absolute strength while also prioritizing mental and physical recovery. Athletes’ training and planning are intricately aligned, focusing on both in-session and out-of-session competition preparation. Central to this stage is the refinement of basic and sport-specific skills, enabling athletes to perform under diverse competitive conditions during training. We instill a sense of self-efficacy, with students emphasizing optimal preparation through simulated competitions in their training regimen. Upon submitting your request for assessment and class placement, our high school LTAD program initiates a physical evaluation conducted by a certified health professional. This assessment ensures accurate placement in classes or private training sessions. It provides valuable insights into your physical capabilities and determines the most suitable placement for you. Additionally, you’ll receive recommendations tailored to your individual strengths and weaknesses, along with guidance on personalized preparation. Parents must attend the entire assessment process.
